From the Shady Side

Cn my walks in Yorba Regional Park, I am always looking for the movement of sunlight and shadows across the lake and landscape.  Here the backlighting of the early fall leaves strongly contrasts with the shadow on the ground.  The yellow and orange transmitted light from the leaves juxtaposed with the reddish light reflected from and the bluish shadows on the ground complements the green of the lake.  The challenge is to be sure there is enough of the dark leaves that the bright leaves create a focal point.
