Sun on the Porch (study)

This painting is the result of a plein air instructional session held at Los Rios Street in San Juan Capistrano.  John Cosby pointed out the scene to us as he modeled how to find and compose interesting paintings from various sites along the road.  The sunlight cutting across the porch contrasted dramatically with the dark interior of the house.
